They are Vienna-based architects and designers who have recently released their lighting collection, titled Serpentine. Every aspect of the design is handmade by them in their studio. The collection was born from their desire to bring together different cultural approaches through the story, materials, and techniques they use.
Müge Du
trained as an architect at the Vienna University of Technology and at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, is currently writing her Master’s thesis on lightweight structures in Architecture on an academic basis. Her first lighting collection grows out of this architectural foundation, translating principles of structural lightness into sculptural form.
Rooted in professional architectural model making, her work explores circularity and the relationship between form and space. Inspired by Japanese craftsmanship, she combines traditional techniques with her own experimental methods to create poetic, handcrafted lighting pieces.
Stephan Sammer
